Why I Use Tarot

I whole-heartedly believe that we all carry psychic, empathic and intuitive gifts. Some of us just don’t know how to access them. Like everything else in life, our talents and skills will vary from person to person, and we will all gravitate towards different things based on our personal preferences. I was drawn to my first tarot deck when I was 18 years old, and I still use that same deck in my present day readings, both personal and professional. I loved the art of the deck, the feminine wisdom theme, the mystery I felt they held, and the tactile act of holding them in my hands and shuffling them. Something clicked instantly, and I knew there was magic happening between me and those cards. Then, for over a decade between my early 20s and mid 30s I barely used them.  I was lost and searching for my true calling because I didn’t feel safe expressing any connection to spirituality, the afterlife or metaphysics. Fast forward to 2016 (several traumas later) and I felt that tarot deck calling to me stronger than ever before. It wasn’t long until I was fully immersing myself in books, YouTube videos and websites dedicated to mastering the art of tarot. Within six months of my Awakening, I had launched Page of Wands, and was reading professionally for friends and clients. Tarot has given me a way to compartmentalize my thoughts, understand my Shadow, change my thought patterns, (and therefore my behaviors,) connect to my guides, understand my past lives, break karmic chains, manifest success and abundance, and honor my higher self by setting boundaries, releasing codependency, and making more conscious and loving decisions every day. It has quite literally saved and changed my life.
